Champasak & the 4,000 Islands (Si Phan Don), Southern Laos
In southern Laos, Champasak combines heritage, nature, and riverside calm, while the 4,000 Islands (Si Phan Don) offer some of the most peaceful landscapes in the Mekong region.
Explore the UNESCO-listed Vat Phou temple, relax in small towns by the river, and slow down to the gentle rhythm of life in Laos’ far south.
Champasak Town – Why go there
Champasak is perfect for travelers who love history, architecture, and culture.
The Vat Phou temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of Laos’ great archaeological treasures.
You’ll also find charming French-colonial houses, riverside cafés, and a slower pace of life before heading to the islands.
